Listen and Learn
To get a better idea of how to tell the families apart, you should listen to a recording of each instrument. If you click the button below and to the right you will find a website with many different recordings of many different instruments. Be sure to listen to at least three instruments from each family. After listening to three from each family, write a sentence or two about how each instrument sounds and how it fits into it's family. Note: Please know that the 'Keyboard' section is a part of the percussion family.
